ImagineIT - Phase Four
The first dilemma I am going to focus on is how exactly can I assess whether students have successfully learned to persevere. I gave them an initial impossible-to-solve question, and most of them spent around 10 minutes before they finally arrived at an answer that they thought was reasonable. I guess I should have made it more difficult. My next step is to interview students to see what specifically causes them issues when solving a problem, and create a assessment from what I learn.
The second dilemma I have is when do I need to create a video for my flipped classroom? Since this is my first time flipping, I've been wrestling with how often should I create a video - Should I make one every night, or should I only make one if there is a topic that I want to cover? I'm leaning towards the second idea, but I do think there's value in looking at videos that are math-related, but not necessarily related to the topics at hand.
